Hello and welcome to my blog for another round of Meet the Characters! Today I am featuring a guest blogger who has graciously agreed to let me do a character interview, which is my favorite kind of interview. Join me in welcoming author, Alisa Anderson, and her characters from Fallen Angel: A Mafia Romance, A Roman Crime Family Novel. It’s a fantastic romance with wonderful characters so without further ado here is the interview with Jess, the heroine from Fallen Angel.
How did you first meet your writer?
Well…my answer depends upon which author you’re speaking of. Cameron, I met the day I was born. Considering I’m based in part on events in her life, she and I are pretty close. Alisa, I met eleven years ago in Florida. Been friends ever since.
Did you ever think that your life would end up being in a book?
No. After telling my and Nick’s story to others, I kept being told you should tell it in a book. Now that I have…I do not regret it at all. It’s been rather liberating.
Would you be interested in a sequel, if your writer was so inclined?
Of course! There is twenty- five years of history between Nick and I (the real Nick and Cameron). There is far…far more story to tell.
What is your most prized possession?
My most prized possession is a stuffed Tigger, Nick gave me while being in the hospital. I have it to this day.
What do you think your greatest weakness is?
Being too forgiving.
What do you think is your strongest attribute?
Being able to self-preserve. I’ve had to do it all my life.
What do you find most appealing in men/women?
Confidence for sure. I love a man who knows how to handle his business with absolutely no reservations about what he says or does. A man who has a certain swagger in their step.
A contagious charisma.
A man who is who he is. There are no apologies for him being so.
A man who doesn’t need to brag or boast about his shit. He lets it all do the talking for him. He’s in control of all aspects of his life, especially you.
Every quality Nick Roman has.
What word makes you the happiest?
Love’s a mirror to me. It shows everything that’s holding me back. Love is probably the most important emotion anyone can feel.
It will tear down walls and smack you awake. It’ll reveal other layers of yourself, you never knew were there. It will show you your demons…addictions. It will make you desperate and out of control.
It’s the most magical thing on this earth.
What turns you on?
Kissing. There is nothing like a long, sensual kiss.
What is your most favorite memory?
The day I auditioned at Takers, Nick’s club. The day I met him. I will never forget how my body tingled just by his smile. He had me with his first glance. To be honest, he terrified me. A tid bit he never knew until today.
“If you don’t deal with your demons, they will deal with you…And they’re going to hurt.”
She lived…and made it through her fire. Now they have to make it through his reign…
Since the day Jess met Nick Roman, she was lied too, deceived and manipulated. Enough was enough. She was exhausted of coming in second. Now the walls were down, and it was time for the real.
He knew her questioning would lead to hurtful truths. Truths he never wanted to face with her. In fear of losing her forever once they were admitted.
But he never lost. He wouldn’t lose her. She couldn’t leave him. She wouldn’t leave.
And yet, there they were, with more secrets to uncover. More lies to reveal. Some good. Some bad. Some horrifying. Some scores would be settled. Some…just beginning.
The time of reaping had begun.
“I’m all consuming, eh?” He grinned down at her.
“Stop it, Nick. You know it’s true. Shit, in every aspect of your life it’s true.”
“Well…the truth is the light, kid.” He chuckled. “Want to know what I was thinking?”
“Is that a loaded question?”
“Could be. Wanna take the risk?”
She kissed his arm again. “What were you thinking, Mr. Roman?”
“I want you to dance with me.”
“What?” She raised her eyes to look at him, surprised by his answer.
“Dance with me, kid.”
She watched as he picked a CD, putting it into the player on repeat. Heather Nova’s Blood of Me filled the air. He extended his hand toward her.
“Dance with me.”
She got up, going to him.
He twirled her, sweeping her into his arms. Pulling her tighter, holding her against him. She laid her head against his chest, closing her eyes.
They danced. Silent.
After the song played once, she finally spoke.
“This is even better than I dreamt. I didn’t know you liked to dance.”
“I like to dance, kid. Just don’t do it often.”
He caught her staring at him unbelievingly.
“What? I have a creative side.”
“I want to know you, Nick.”
He tightened his arm around her. She snuggled back against his chest.
“You know me better than anyone.”
“No. I know the persona you’ve shared with me. I want the real you.”
“I don’t let people in. It’s not safe.” He kissed her hair, laying his cheek against it.
“You can me. Don’t you trust me?”
“I trust you.”
“Ok. I give you that. You trust me. You just don’t trust me with you.”
“You’re the first woman I’ve ever fallen in love with. You holding my heart? That’s more trust than I thought I was capable of giving to anyone.”
He stroked her hair, lowering his head to capture her lips in a kiss. Bruising her lips with his. Her mouth closed on his, alternating between meeting his tongue and biting his lips.
“I’ve missed your mouth. Your lips, Jess.”
His hand brushed down the front of her body. She spread her legs, wrapping one around his waist. The heel of his hand, rubbed against the cloth.
“Oh, Shit…Nick. Don’t stop.”
He lowered his mouth next to her ear, whispering words of love in Italian. She had no idea what the shit meant, but it sounded sexy as hell. The silkiness of his voice, added to the sensations going on between her legs, her shorts now soaked from her wetness.
“I want you. So badly, kid. If you’re not ready, I understand.”

Well…Alisa did stuff and is still doing stuff. Only now she has two boys crazy enough to want her to be their mommy. Hey, at least she tried to warn them. So her job is done.
She lives for a world full of controllable anatomically correct, android men programmed to meet her specific feminine needs (wink, wink, nudge, nudge with a big waggle of the eyebrows.) Who look like the Rock and Ian Somerhalder, and Idris Elba. And, that’s it she promises. Variety. Gotta have it right?
When Cameron is not in the lab working toward a Ph.D., in Neuropsychopharmacology, which in laymen’s terms is basically finding the effects drugs have on mood and behavior, she is writing stories, crating vivid, intense characters you will never forget.
She believes while life can take you down every path but the right one, eventually everyone will find their happily ever after.
